Our stunning range of Cretan terracotta garden urns feature the sensual styles and unique colouration achieved by the islands ancient Minoan potters. Both eye-catching and imposing it is the ornamental garden urns that have the strongest link with the islands Minoan tradition, as it is these items that replicate the large storage pots of ancient Greece.

During the early Bronze Age, Crete was the centre of Europe's most ancient civilisation who crafted beautiful pottery. The Minoan culture flourished and wide trading contacts were developed. Pots designed to contain oils and ointments were used to store and transport goods.

Our pots today are produced in the same traditional way, hand crafted and using top grade clay. They are thrown on the wheel and fired using olive pips and grape seeds to fuel the kilns. Fired to over 1150°C each garden urn is able to withstand temperatures of up to -15°C; as such we are able to offer a frost guarantee on all of our garden urns and planters.
